Jat Reflexes in the Speech of the Bila River Basin in the Vicinity of Travnik

Abstract

This work will explain the problem of voice jat in the area of river Bila (Travnik). Otherwise it is a segment of one wide research which author carried out for needs of final examination titled “Phonetics features of speech in area of river Bila (Travnik)”. As in every dialectological research also in this work pieces of information were gathered on mentionened area, by direct observation and in contact with ancient inhabitants speaking this dialect. And places of information were gathered from the begining of 2007. in additional the gathered material was adapted. Derivations refering to standard language were observed here and every change was explaned by sinchronical or diachronical methods of the research. In the next few pages the problems of the voice jat is separately explaned in boundaries of this dialect and it is compared with thestate in standard.
