Abstract
This work is about hypocoristic given male names in Bosniak oral epic poems that were collected by Košta Hormann in 1888. and 1889. Hypocoristic names are grouped by their grammatical endings in nominative according to current grammatical rules of Bosnian language. Some given male names háve two kinds of hypocorism: one hypocorism is sometimes longer, and the other is shorter depending on the need of a verse in oral poetry. There are still many other linguistic problems that are to be solved in further studies of oral epic poetry.
