The Topophilic Identity(s) of Namik Kabil’s Novel Isijavanje

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to read the novel Isijavanje through the aspect of topophilia. In this light, special attention will be paid to the topos of the family house as a central point in the novel that stores personal and collective memory, and has an important place in the construction of narrator’s voices intertwined with nostalgia, war and post-war traumas and emigrant experience.
