Abstract
The topic of this work is linguistic analysis of Skender Kulenović`s poem „Na pravi put sam ti, majko, iziš'o“. The stress in this work will be on the linguistic expression of the poem. Phonostylistic and morphosylistic categories are used to express personal attitude of the poet towards woman-mother and a woman who is seen as a slave.
Linguistic expression is the crucial mode, because, by its specific use, poet expresses his deepest feelings. A mother, as a female character in this poem, is seen as a symbol: every girl, every woman, every woman- wife, every woman- mother can experience her destiny, so this poem ends in a strong poet`s voice that is trying to change her social position. Skender Kulenović carefully chooses specific words, like neologism, of words whose root is in oriental tradition in order to show closed intimate world of a woman-mother.
