Cypress as a Place of Remembrance in a Novel „Žene. Glasovi“ by Jasmina Musabegović

Abstract

A novel „Žene. Glasovi“ written by Jasmina Musabegović is placed in two different cities- Mostar and Sarajevo. This work shows how cypress, a place used in this novel, can keep stories about history where story-tellers are victims of war. The cypress is perceived as the symbol of remembrance and pain.
